Ongoing Public Safety Training Package Review

The review of the Public Safety Training Package (PSTP) has been in progress for some months and the focus is now on the Search and Rescue and Operations and Teams areas. ACSES/NETC is seeking feedback from SES members on the current industry-wide units within these areas of the PSTP.

The feedback documents can be downloaded from here and feedback should be directed to your RLDO.

Congratulations to the webmaster and colleagues on a successful search outcome

Bruce "Dick" Ludbrook, 71, who suffers mild dementia, got lost in dense scrub north of Wollongong during his regular afternoon bushwalk on Tuesday.

SES prepared for possible impact of H1N1 Human Swine Influenza

Our State Headquarters has undertaken planning to ensure that the service maintains its capacity to respond to floods, storms and tsunamis during the current swine flu outbreak.

SES’s internal Pandemic Operations Management Team has met regularly to develop an Operation Action Plan (OAP) based on the guidelines in the SES Business Continuity Plan and up-to-date information received from NSW Health.

There is now a process in place for members to submit feedback and suggestions to this committee. Two documents; one outlining the process and the second being a submission form can be found in the Downloads section of the website here.
