2009 SESVA AGM Election Results

At the 2009 SESVA AGM held in Sydney on Sunday 1st November the following members were elected to the executive of the SESVA for the next 12 months:

President: Charlie Moir (North West Region Delegate)
Vice-President: Frank Wilson (Murray Region Delegate)
Secretary: Peter Lalor (Sydney Western Region Delegate)
Treasurer: Rebecca Ellison (Southern Highlands Region Delegate)
Public Relations Officer: Pat Johnson (Sydney Southern Region Delegate)

SESVA Honours Deputy Commissioner Greg Slater

The SESVA made a presentation of a framed display of Deputy Commissioner Greg Slater's medals, awards and insignia to his family in recognition of the work he did for the volunteers of the SES. A copy of tributes posted on the SESVA website forums were all passed on to the family.

Greg was a strong supporter of the SESVA and his volunteer focus in all he did was well recognised.

2009 Raffle Drawn

The 2009 SESVA Raffle has been drawn and the winning ticket was 8010148155. The winner came from Seven Hills.

Four volunteers from the Kogarah SES Unit took part in drawing the winning raffle ticket.

SESVA Rescue Competition Polo Shirts and Caps

The SESVA provided embroidered polo shirts and baseball caps for participants at the recent State Rescue competition. We have some shirts and caps left over and are making them available to members. 2009 Corporate Golf Day

Due to the success of the 2008 Corporate Golf Day we pleased to advise that the SES Social Committee is once again co-ordinating this fundraising event for 2009.

Proceeds from this fundraiser will once again be going to the SES Volunteer Association – SESVA. All volunteers and staff of SES, friends and family are invited to attend to raise money and have a fun social day.
